Financial Breakthrough
We gathered at Christian Bible Church Malolos for a Young Adults Seminar with one goal: financial breakthrough. But before we talked numbers, we talked mindset.
God wants us to have a Godly Mentality. He wants us to live with Interdependence. That means our goal is not just to meet our own needs. It is to grow our resources so we can be a blessing to others.
Financial breakthrough does not start with a budget. It starts with a mindset.
Two mindsets, Two outcomes
There is a difference between a scarcity mindset and a Godly Mentality.
A scarcity mindset says: get what I can, hold on to what I have, worry about everyone else later.
A Godly Mentality says: build, save, and grow — because what God gives me is meant to flow through me to someone else.
That shift changes everything. It changes how you save. It changes how you spend. It changes how you see every peso that passes through your hands.
We are not just trying to survive financially. We are training to become a resource for others.
What the ant teaches us
The seminar centered on a passage most of us have heard before but rarely apply.
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8
What we see in the ant
It works without being told to. No supervisor. No one is watching.
It saves during the season of abundance, not the season of need.
It plans ahead for a season it cannot see yet.
It does not wait for motivation. It moves on discipline.
That is the model. Not hype. Not a windfall. Discipline, applied consistently, before the need shows up.
Discover, build, save, bless
The seminar broke the path to financial breakthrough into a simple sequence.
Discover. Know where your money actually goes. You cannot build on top of what you have not looked at honestly.
Build. Set a structure — income, savings, giving — and work it like the ant works. Without waiting for someone to push you.
Save. Store up during the seasons when things are good. That is when discipline is hardest and matters most.
Bless. The end goal is not a bigger account. It is having enough margin to help someone else when they need it.
That is the full picture of Godly Mentality. It is not about hoarding. It is about preparing so you have something to give.
You save in the season of plenty so you have something to give in the season of need.
Where this leaves us
Most of us walked into that seminar thinking about our own finances. Bills. Goals. What we are saving up for.
We walked out with a bigger question: who is this for?
If God is growing your resources, He is doing it so you can be part of someone else's breakthrough too. That is the whole point of Interdependence. None of us were built to carry it alone, and none of us were blessed to keep it to ourselves.
